Embarking on Adventure, of Course.

And so, for a moment, to speak to the purpose of this blog, it exists as a place for my commentaries on my Massively Multi player Online game adventures, the journeys though various virtual worlds, all of which offer something different.  That is, perhaps, the reason that I can't seem to quite settle on one.   Many players seem quite content to find one game and play it for years, sadly that is not I.  Every new game, subscription, Free to play, etc., seems to offer a new experience, a new world to explore, and I, being way too curious for my own good, find it hard to stay away.  I'm probably the poster boy for Sony's Station Pass program, which yes, I subscribe to.

Currently I think a reasonable list of the games I am dabbling in to one degree or another is Everquest, Everquest 2, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Vanguard, Star Wars Online, DC Universe Online, Free Realms, Age of Conan, Champions Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons & Dragons Online, Alganon, Zentia, and a few more odds and ends that don't come immediately to mind.  Granted, I don't spend hours on all of these games.  Many are just a few minutes here and there when I have time, just because I get curious, or nostalgic, or sometimes just because they are there. Sometimes I even know I'm not going to enjoy a game ahead of time and still try it out anyway.  People are sometimes pleasantly surprised by there things, sadly I usually am not.  That is mainly of function of the way I choose games however.  I keep tabs on a lot of stuff, and have been in more than a few betas, so I usually have a really good idea of how much I will enjoy playing a game by the time it launches.  Sometimes though, I'm surprised.  Alganon was one of those types of surprises.  I had literally forgotten about that game because I thought it looked way too much like World of Warcraft and I had really no interest in playing it.  These things do happen.  Anyway, this blog will be all about my erratic MMO playing, and what I think about it all, maybe even a bit of news now and then as well.  Who knows.
